Chateau le Castellas is a 200 year old family winery located 17 miles from Cahors. They harvest 30 hectares of vineyards on a rocky plateau of clay and limestone. The Roucanniers family remains commited to natural farming without the use chemicals, the same way their family has done last 200 years. This wine comes from 30 year old vineyards. The grapes are hand harvested, and wine is aged 1 year in new and neutral oak. A benchmark Cahors which is supple, round, fat and fruity with a touch of oak. Drink now or in next 10 years.
