Clay-limestone with sea shells and fossils
984 to 1,640 ft
White Beaujolais is the pearl of Beaujolais wines. Chardonnay grapes from the vines are planted on clay-limestone soils. From a pale green gold, this wine opens with aromas associated with mineral nuances of flowers and citrus. It lends itself to fish dishes quite nicely. Serve between 55 and 60° in order to give aromatic expression. It appreciates good on oysters and seafood, as an aperitif, but also with good cheeses, such as local goat cheese.
