Villa Schinosa Primitivo is planted in clay and limestone soils. During late September harvest the grapes are hand selected, and after fermentation aged in cement and large Slavonian oak. Also known as Zinfandel, this red has intense color with wonderful blackberry style fruit flavors and hints of dark chocolate. A rich, yet modern soft and supple fruit driven style of Primitivo that is very impressive. Good with rich pasta dishes, cured and red meats.
